Liverpool given Coutinho boost

Liverpool are hopeful Philippe Coutinho's hamstring injury suffered in the win over Manchester City is only minor and that he could be fit to face Swansea on Sunday. The Brazilian has been the Reds star player  so far this season, scoring five times in the league and racking up several assists for Jurgen Klopp's men.The 23-year-old was once again the star of the show at the weekend, scoring one and creating another goal as the Merseysiders recorded an emphatic 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium. However, Coutinho was forced to leave the field after 63 minutes against City having reported a problem with his hamstring. It had been feared that the playmaker could join a lengthy list of absentees at Anfield with the problem but following scans the prognosis is more upbeat. The Reds expect Coutinho to sit out Thursday's Europa League encounter with Bordeaux but are hopeful he could be available when Swansea visit Anfield on Sunday.Liverpool are 4/9 to overcome the struggling Swans, who are 13/2 to pick up a much-needed win. The draw is 16/5.The news on Coutinho will serve as a big boost to Klopp, who is currently missing Jon Flanagan, Mamadou Sakho, Joe Gomez and Danny Ings.Daniel Sturridge has only recently made his return following a knee injury and he could make his first appearance under Klopp against Bordeaux having been an unused substitute at Manchester City. The Reds will confirm their place in the knockout stages of  the Europa League  with a win over the Ligue 1 outfit and are 4/9 to pick up three points. Bordeaux are 13/2 to keep their qualification hopes alive with a win, while the draw is 11/5.Play bet365
